This Glimmer demo, originally presented at RubyConf 2008 (a variation of it), still blows people's minds today, especially non-programmers who can't believe this little code produces a real app. Neither Rails nor React can even come close to doing this as of 2022! This just goes to show that so much improvement can be made to web development as inspiration by desktop development as we are still barely scratching the surface of the maximum potential of web development in Ruby! What can come next?!!!
